What material is GUMI Wood balcony flooring made of?
GUMI decking is made of natural THERMOJESION wood. This wood is produced through a complex thermomodification process designed to significantly improve its natural properties. Recently, however, we’ve also added composite decking boards to our product line. GUMI Composite is an excellent choice for anyone who doesn’t want to deal with the annual maintenance of wood.
What material is GUMI Composite Balcony Flooring made of?
GUMI Composite is an innovative approach to balcony flooring. We’ve created it from a blend of polypropylene and wood. Thanks to this combination, the planks offer the advantages of wood (stability, insulation) and synthetic material—resistance and durability.
Can GUMI Wood be made in a different color?
Unfortunately, the wooden boards are available in only one color. GUMI Composite, however, offers as many as four color finishes.
Are the filler strips available in only one length?
Yes. At this time, we supply trim molding in only one length. However, cutting the molding to the desired size is not particularly difficult and can be done using even the simplest wood saw.
Are GUMI boards only available with a grooved surface?
At this time, only boards with a grooved surface are available for purchase.
Is the GUMI terrace flammable?
The GUMI deck is made of natural wood, so its flammability is the same as that of any other wood. Do not expose the boards to high temperatures that could cause them to catch fire.
Is there a risk that resin will seep out of GUMI boards?
There is no such risk. As a result of the thermal modification process, the wood is stripped of its natural resins, so there is no need to worry about them seeping out.
Is Thermojesion wood eco-friendly?
Both the process of harvesting wood and the process of treating and subsequently utilizing it are environmentally friendly and carried out in a rational and sustainable manner. The thermal treatment of wood itself takes place without the use of any chemicals and is fully environmentally friendly.
